Refreshing romance where men are real gentlemen

Full Circle by Gloria Antypowich is book two of The Belanger Creek Ranch Series. I was delighted to discover that book two continues where book one (The Second Time Around) left off. Book two adds more well defined characters that not only tie both books together, but move ahead with real life situations that involve work, play, past, present, family, friendship, love, hate, romance and genuine passion for life and fulfilling relationships.

Once again Author Gloria Antypowich masterfully brings her own life experiences into her creative writing process to draw her readers into the story line tugging at their heart and mind revealing their own memories whether good or bad. I find that these first two books, especially Full Circle has a short dedication that played over and over in my mind while I lived vicariously through her characters.

In my reviews I always quote at least one passage to show the writer’s style and intent I am very careful not to spoil the story for you the reader. I quote from page 154 (in my copy) as Shauna Lee and Brad enjoy a leisurely horseback ride.

They took the horses out through the gate at the back of the horse pasture and followed the trail to the gently rolling fields. They rode in companionable silence, enjoying the crisp, fresh air and the serenity of being away from everything else.
Shauna Lee sat astride her horse and threw her arms wide open, embracing the world. “I love this: total solitude, no sounds of traffic, no telephones, and no computers!” She turned to smile at him, happiness overflowing.
“I know what you mean. I get that same feeling when I go hunting in the mountains. Dad and I ride way off the beaten track. You feel like no else has ever been there. The mountains are so majestic, the air so clean and the scenery so spectacular. It’s like being transported into a totally different world. For two weeks, we become different people. I always think we become the people we really are meant to be. Life is simple, with no outside pressures. It recharges my batteries. One day I’d like to take you with me.”
Shauna Lee shook her head. “I couldn’t go hunting.”
Brad looked out over the fields. “Shauna, man has been a hunter for centuries. Dad and I always use the meat we take. How can I explain it to you? For us, it’s almost a spiritual thing; being so close to nature, to the creator.”

Come experience life, love, sorrow, forgiveness and a genuine hero spirit. Experience romance where men are real men and even the most liberal women have to stop to appreciate this lost art of gentlemanly behavior. After coming Full Circle move into The Hand of Fate, book three of the Belanger Creek Ranch Series.

and at Smashwords

Female veterinarian Frank Lamonte is going through a series of depressing bouts in her life in Stettler, Canada. Martin Cole, her co-worker, fellow veterinarian, and former fiance works at the same clinic and has dumped her to take up with the office secretary. Additionally, her father is recovering from a medical condition in Arizona and was forced to sell the family ranch Frank grew up on.

Following the suggestion of her boss, Dr. Winters, to take a prolonged leave of absence from the clinic, Frank hires on at Belanger Creek Ranch in Saskatchewan under the supervision of Ollie Crampton, a seasoned ranch manager. The ranch is owned by Colt Thompson, an absent owner who is good looking, but who has an irritable disposition at times–having been burned in a prior love relationship. As soon as the main characters meet, the sparks fly and misunderstandings occur.

Gloria Antypowich writes in an engaging clear style and describes both the characters and settings realistically and vividly so that the reader is pulled into the story and plot from the first chapter. This is a charming (contemporary) western romance that’s enjoyable, easy to read, and includes a little spice to make it nice. The added bonus of “Second Time Around,” is that this is the first book in the Belanger Creek Ranch series and there are more stories awaiting the reader.

The first day of March, not only brings me closer to the magic of nature’s renewal in springtime; it is also the opening of a new chapter in my profession as an author!

I am super excited, because I have been hard at work for the past eighteen months, reinventing my writing career–and now I see a light at the end of the tunnel!! I have a wonderful team who have read, edited and made suggestions for these manuscripts, but I am a bit obsessive when it comes to my writing, so I am doing the last minute checks through the first two books of my four book Belanger Creek Ranch Series.

The covers are ready and I have loved working on them with Laura at llpix.com. She understood that I wanted something a little different from the majority of the romance novel covers on the market. Since my books involve ordinary people who struggle with problems that they have to overcome while developing relationships, (that involve moderate sex) and create families; guys with six-pack abs and sexy women wouldn’t be appropriate on the covers. Laura is awesome, and we have become friends (she lives in Indianna, USA). She also updated the cover photo on my Gloria Antypowich-Author page, to include small images of the new covers.

Now, the last step in publishing this series for me, is to send the finished manuscripts to Steve Caresser at ePrintedBooks.com I have worked with Steve before and I know the quality of his work. He will create eBook formats and distribute them online. He will also format the paperback version and load it to Create Space, where it will become available to order online at Amazon.com. Create Space offers Print On Demand, and I will easily be able to order paperback copies for review purposes, and sales in Canada. Steve and I have also become long distance friends; he lives in Kentucky, USA. I love the internet!

I also work closely with Monicka Gregory, at Bizz~Linkzz Social Media Services in Salmon Arm, B.C. We met when she started managing my husband’s Face book page at Lloyd Antypowich Author . We have become close friends, and she lets me bounce ideas off her, and offers suggestions.

I am aiming for a launch date on May 4th, just a few days before Mothers Day! That is two months away and leaves a good window of time to make it happen.

Watch for more news about The BELANGER CREEK RANCH SERIES!!

Shauna Lee Holt is a good friend of the Thompson family and runs an accounting and bookkeeping service in the Thompson family’s town of Swift Current in Saskatchewan, Canada. But Shauna Holt’s real name is LeeAnn Bergeron and she has a past that is closed off from her present life. When Colt Thompson’s friend, Brad Johnson, moves into town, he and Shauna become close, despite the fact that she is used to picking up men for weekend sex and nothing more. Brad calls Shauna “Tweetie Bird” and gets her to open up bit by bit about the horrors of her younger life. She watched as her father ran over her younger brother with a tractor and then shot Shauna’s beloved horse as he expressed his fury and sorrow. She lived with a man who murdered their developmentally disabled infant son. Then Colt hires a man called Patch and Shauna’s past comes rushing back. “You Can Run…”, the second book in the ‘Thompson Family Trilogy’, is well-written and will draw the reader into the events in the lives of Colt and Frankie Thompson and their family and friends in the town of Swift Current. The main character Shauna Lee Holt or LeeAnn Bergeron is totally believable as a survivor of a horrific young life. The supporting character of Brad who Shauna comes to love, trust and eventually marry is created believably and works nicely as a friend with the Thompsons and fits well into the theme of life in western Canada. Readers will love this second volume in this delightful series and then will clamour for the third and final book in the trilogy.
